Deriving Requirements

We begin by defining your requirements in writing – this process ensures that we have an accurate specification which defines the key characteristics of the project. This will provide us with a set of requirements which accurately reflect the specification of your device.

Design

CAD, Schematic Capture

The design process produces specific sub-system level block diagrams, 3D renders and pseudo-code. We consult with engineers within IoT Invent and are able to draw upon trusted, leading experts from outside the company where necessary.  The completed designs provide a blueprint for the further development of your prototype.

Develop

PCB & Firmware Development

This is where we implement your designs. Our engineers write the code, test the circuits and print the mechanical parts for your idea. At this stage, we believe transparency is key. We are intentionally open about our progress and like to keep you updated on the development of your project through weekly reports. We find this is an excellent way for you to ensure your backers or stakeholders remain in the loop.

PAST PROJECTS

BecBell

This was where it all started. Founder Pete Beckett designed and build a WiFi-enabled doorbell whilst studying Electronic Engineering at university.

GPS Asset Tracker

We designed this GPS asset-tracker as part of a feasibility study for a client who wanted to keep track of equipment usage whilst it was out for hire.

Remote Control Car

We produced this remote control car using Bluetooth and a simple Android app to enable movement via a smartphone.

Greenhouse Control

IoT Invent designed and built a 3G-enabled control box to enable commercial greenhouse vents to be opened and closed remotely.

Alarm Clock

As part of a ‘Let’s Invent’ event, we assisted one of the delegates who had a great idea for a smart alarm clock.
